1. Who is responsible for your data

Collection Only Delivery is the data controller for the personal data you provide through this website. If you have any question about your data, or want to exercise any of the rights below, email hello@collectiononlydelivery.co.uk.

2. What we collect

• Booking details — your name, email address, mobile number, collection and delivery addresses and postcodes, and any access notes you give us.
• Item details — the item description, size, weight and the value you declare for insurance, plus any photo or marketplace listing link you upload so we can size the item.
• Payment confirmation — a reference for your payment and the amount. Your card number is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store it.
• Technical data — basic information your browser sends, such as IP address and device type, used to keep the site secure and working.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide the service you booked — quoting, scheduling, collecting and delivering your item, and contacting you about your booking. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• To take payment and keep accurate financial records. Legal basis: contract and our legal obligations (for example tax and accounting).
• To answer enquiries you send us and improve and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.

4. Who we share it with

We share your data only with the providers we need to deliver the service, and only with what they need:

• Stripe — to process your card payment securely.
• Our scheduling and route systems — to book your job onto the correct route and keep our team informed.
• Our email provider — to send you your confirmation and any updates about your booking.
• An AI sizing service — where you upload a photo or listing, the image and description are sent to be measured. This is used only to estimate the item and is not used to identify you.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved data transfer terms.

5. How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (generally up to six years for financial records). Photos and listing links used only for sizing are kept no longer than needed for the booking and are then deleted. Enquiries that do not become bookings are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond.

6. How we protect it

The site runs over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We limit access to your data to those who need it to do their job, and we use reputable, security-conscious providers.

7. Cookies

This website uses only the cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary to make the booking flow and payment work and to keep the site secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies as part of secure payment processing.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@collectiononlydelivery.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its date, always lives at this page.
